The Ford Customline is an automobile model that was sold between 1952 and 1956 by Ford in North America. The car in this picture is believed to be a second-generation Customline which was built between 1955-1956. This car was originally equiped with the 272 cu. inch V8 engine, but the odds are high that this car (like many old Cuban cars) has had its engine replaced over the years. --- This photo was shot a few hundred feet north of the Jose Marti statute (seen above the car's roof) which is pointing towards the US embassy complex.

Photography by J. M. Branum. This card design is a First Amendment protected parody of the classic 1987 Topps Baseball card design, a use of the form of classic US American baseball card as a form of commentary on the complicated political and cultural relationship between the USA and Cuba, particularly through our collective loves of baseball and cars.
